Rescue SCUBA DIVER Course

Open Water Training (4 Dives)

• On the surface, identify the problem and properly assist a completely equipped skin or scuba diver simulating each of the following: a muscle cramp, rapid shallow breathing, exhaustion, signs of pre-panic and breathing difficulties
• Scuba Diver Rescue. In scuba gear, make an entry, swim 50 yards to the simulated victim; retrieve the victim from the bottom in about 20ft of water using a safe, controlled ascent; stabilize, initiate and continue simulated in-water rescue breathing; remove gear as necessary while transporting the victim to an exit
• With the aid of one assistant, remove a diver simulating a non-breathing unconsciousness victim from the water after reaching the water’s edge, boat or platform.

Tuition: This course includes the academics and open water training. PDF textbook. Digital and plastic certification cards and a certificate of completion. Total = $399.00

Equipment is not included but can be rented at half price.

• Current Certification in Basic CPR and First aid are required to complete this program and is offered separately, additional $85

NOTE: The NAUI Diving First Aid For Diving Professionals (DFA Pro) Covers all the First Aid and CPR requirements for this course and is required for all NAUI Leadership Courses (Skin Diving Instructor, Assistant Instructor, Dive Master and Instructor) It is recommend and is more cost effective for you take the NAUI – DFA Pro course in lieu of individual first aid and CPR courses if you are on track to enter a NAUI Leadership course.
